As we make a strong presence through the 19th Zonta International District 17 Conference here in the Philippines, I share your pride in being part of this milestone in the history of Zonta International. Being part of the ASEAN, we share the same vision of having an innovative and dynamic leadership leading to integration.

The theme, “One Vision. One Mission. One Voice. One Movement: A Season of Weaving D.R.E.A.M.S.” speaks highly of the power of One. It speaks highly of a shared vision emanating from our dreams that keep us engaged and focused as we face the challenges of being in the frontline for women empowerment.
One Vision: We are here as one strong organization united by shared passion to better the lives of women, cultivating our collective identity and strength as we respond to new developments and seize new opportunities.
One Mission: Our mission to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy must be the center of every Zonta activity. It is the driving force that binds us all together and strengthens our organization. If we are inspired by our common mission, there will be deeper understanding among members and more fulfilment from working together as one.
One Voice: We shall remain steadfast in our advocacies; the work continues. We are diverse because we come from different cultural environments, but we all share the advocacy platform for women and girls. We strongly say no to all forms of violence against women and rally for gender equality (UN SDG#5).
One Movement: When we work as one, we can rise above personal interests and find ways to work collaboratively with others to achieve the desired results. If we are to make an action, it has to be today; if we have to identify the advocates, the supporters and the leaders, they have to be us, the Zontians.
Our district has achieved its global magnitude changing the landscape of international service and advocacy.
The work is not yet done; let us continue to weave and share our dreams. Congratulations for a productive and engaging District Conference!
